Ashton made her way slowly down the streets. She wasn't exactly too keen on discussing her problems with anyone much less someone she had never met, but Joey had pretty much convinced her that Mr. Plissken would be able to help. Figuring it couldn't hurt, she agreed to stop by his shop.

Stopping, she took a glance at the piece of paper that had the address scribbled across it, followed by a deep breath and knocked on his door.

1. I've loved exactly two men in my entire life. My husband Braeden and my best friend Toby.
2. I graduated from high school a year early and left for college in LA. AND I hated every minute of it.
3. My husband and I have been together for 20 years. I was 16 and he was 14 when we started dating, but we had been friends since he was born. No one should find their soul mate at age two, it sounds beautiful but it's chalk full of messy goodness more often than not.
4. I've been pregnant four three times. Once with Braeden's baby and twice with Toby's. I miscarried in college.

So if she had stayed you would have fuckin' resented her anyway for being distant...so I guess there is no winning in that situation. So go on, because I know nothing I've said is sinking into that thick skull of yours, hate her...for the rest of your life hate her but you will regret it young man you might not realize it now but you will. Go on and tell the whole family what Aunt Ashton said to you, but I don't give a fuck if every last member of the extended family ends up hating me because unlike you? I'm not going to whine about how much my life sucks, because guess what life generally has the tendency to do that.

Ash had been busying herself all afternoon decorating and preparing food for her daughters birthday party. It was hard for her to believe that she was 18 today...that her children were grown up. "God damn I feel old!" She said to herself and laughed as she placed the small finger sandwiches on the tray. At first she hadn't known what to actually make for dinner, given the fact that her daughter's illness had to do with her NOT eating at all. But Brae had suggested the small finger food types of things so that's what she had made, hoping that it would go over well. Hell she hoped the whole night went over well, drama and tension free. Placing the last tray of food onto the table she looked around and smiled, now all they had to do was wait for everyone to show up.
